  1. Oh my word, the sausage rolls were fantastic - even though I say so myself. I thought I was putting too much onion into the sausagemeat, but it really added to the whole affair. Thankfully I've got about the same amount left over for next week. Huzzah!

  2. Tomato soup is YUM! In place of water I used stock (I always do) and I added some lentils to bulk it out a bit. I'm always a bit wary of adding too much coconut milk because it makes my mouth feel a bit odd (never managed to figure out the exact adjective to describe the feeling!), so I went very slowly.

    It's happily simmering away on the hob now. DH has made some cheese-covered rolls to go with it. Faberooni!

  3. Mackerel and rice will have to take a back seat for a few weeks I think, we've had it too much. Bit of a change in meal this evening - Bubble and Squeak with ham (to use up the roast leftovers). :)

  4. This chow mein is absolutely perfect http://www.changs.com/recipes/view-recipe?id=ee48d9d138addf9363edcb02de26dc48&key=HPEFUW I've been looking for years for a chow mein recipe that tasted like a restaurant/take away one - and this is it!

    I had to make some modifications though: I marinated already roasted leftover pork in the sauce ingredients, heated some sesame oil and fried spring onions, sweetcorn then threw in the pork for a few mins followed by noodles (in place of rice) and some beansprouts.

    Perfection on a plate. Happy days!
